A. Do not pass; stay behind at a safe distance
Only pass or change lanes if you can finish without speeding. Otherwise, stay back and keep a safe following distance.

- A. When the other driver flashes their headlights
- B. When the passed car is beside your rear door
- C. When you see the passed car in your rearview mirror
- D. As soon as your front bumper is ahead of the other car

C. When you see the passed car in your rearview mirror
Return to the right lane only when you are well ahead of the car you passed. A good sign is when you can see that car in your rearview mirror. Signal your return.
3. You realize you just passed your exit on the parkway. What should you do?
- A. Cross the median to turn around
- B. Back up carefully on the shoulder
- C. Continue to the next exit
- D. Stop and reverse into the exit ramp
Show the answer
C. Continue to the next exit
If you miss your exit on a highway, parkway or turnpike, keep driving and take the following exit. Reversing on a ramp or deceleration lane is never allowed.
4. You are entering an expressway on a weave lane, and a car in the same lane is trying to exit. Who has the right-of-way?
- A. Whichever car is going faster
- B. The car leaving the expressway
- C. You, because you are entering
- D. Whichever car is on the right
Show the answer
B. The car leaving the expressway
A weave lane is both an entrance and an exit. The driver entering from the ramp must yield the right-of-way to the driver leaving the expressway.
