About the real test
What to expect on test day
Delaware's Class D knowledge test has four parts, including a separate Highway Sign and Signal Test. The DMV's written-test page lists 32 questions with 26 correct needed to pass (its FAQ page says 30 questions and 24), so the practice exam here uses the 32-question format. You can get a Level One Learner's Permit at 16 with a Delaware driver education certificate, and the permit fee is included in the $50 Class D license fee.
Every question here is written from the official Delaware Driver Manual (July 2026 edition) and shows the page it comes from. Practice by topic, in mixed sets, or with the full-length practice exam: 32 questions, 26 to pass.
