About the real test
What to expect on test day
Oregon's Class C knowledge test has 35 questions, and you need 28 correct (80%) to pass. Road signs are part of the same test, not a separate one. You can take it online at home with a webcam, where testers under 18 need a proctor aged 21 or older, or in a DMV office. It is offered in English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Vietnamese. You can get an instruction permit from age 15; each test attempt costs $7 and the permit costs $30.
Every question here is written from the official Oregon Driver Manual and shows the page it comes from. Practice by topic, or take a full 35-question mock exam scored the same way as the real test.
